Privacy Policy
Effective: 15 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Paydirt collects when you use our website and interface, how we use it, and the choices you have. Paydirt is a non-custodial interface to public smart contracts, which shapes how privacy works here: much of what you do happens on a public blockchain that no one, including us, can edit or erase.
1. 1. Overview
Paydirt ("we", "us" or "our") provides a web interface for interacting with public smart contracts on Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum layer 2 network. This policy covers the information we collect through the Paydirt website and interface, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
Two things make privacy on Paydirt different from a typical web app. First, we are non-custodial: we never hold your funds or private keys, and we do not require your legal name, email address or other traditional account details to use the core Service. Second, your on-chain activity is written to a public blockchain that is permanent by design. This policy explains both sides: the off-chain data we control, and the on-chain data no one controls.
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Service.
2. 2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information when you use the Service:
- Wallet addresses. When you connect a wallet, we receive your public wallet address. We use it to display your balances, tokens, fees, referrals and other activity, and to associate your handle and profile with your on-chain identity.
- Chosen handles and profile data. If you set a handle, we store it along with its association to your wallet address. Your handle powers your referral link and is visible to other users.
- On-chain activity. Token creations, buys, sells, fee claims, referral bindings, Motherload wins, last-buy pot payouts and other Protocol interactions are recorded on Robinhood Chain. This data is inherently public and permanent, is not collected by us in the usual sense, and is readable by anyone in the world. We read and index it to power the interface.
- Comments and chat content. Comments you post on token pages and messages in referrer broadcast channels, along with related metadata such as timestamps and spam reports.
- Usage analytics. Information about how you use the interface, such as pages viewed, features used, referring pages and interaction events, collected through analytics tools.
- reCAPTCHA data. We use Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection on actions like commenting. reCAPTCHA collects device and interaction signals to distinguish humans from bots, under Google's own privacy terms.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system information, language settings, and logs generated when your browser communicates with our servers and service providers.
3. 3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Service, including displaying tokens, charts, profiles, fees, referrals and chat.
- Associate handles and referral links with wallet addresses and power the referral, cashback and promotional features.
- Protect the Service, including spam prevention, abuse detection, rate limiting, enforcing our Terms of Service and securing our infrastructure.
- Understand how the Service is used so we can fix problems, improve performance and build better features.
- Comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Communicate with you when you contact us.
4. 4. On-chain data is public and permanent
When you interact with the Protocol's smart contracts, your transactions are broadcast to and recorded on Robinhood Chain, a public blockchain. This includes your wallet address, the tokens you create and trade, amounts, timestamps, fee claims, referral bindings and any winnings from chance-based features. Token names, tickers, descriptions and images are also permanent once a token is created.
Blockchain data cannot be modified or deleted by Paydirt or by anyone else. This is a fundamental property of the technology, not a policy choice. Even if you stop using Paydirt, ask us to delete your data, or exercise legal deletion rights, your on-chain history will remain publicly visible forever through block explorers and other tools. Anyone who can link your wallet address to your identity can see your full on-chain history.
Before transacting, consider that everything you do on-chain is public. If you want to limit the connection between your identity and your activity, be thoughtful about what handle you choose, what you post, and which wallet you connect.
5. 5. Third-party services
We rely on a small set of service providers to run the interface. Each processes data under its own privacy terms in addition to our instructions:
- Firebase, for authentication and realtime data such as comments, chat and profile information.
- Pinata, for pinning token images to IPFS. Images pinned to IPFS are publicly retrievable and, like on-chain data, should be treated as permanent.
- Google reCAPTCHA, for spam protection on user actions such as commenting.
- RPC node providers, which relay blockchain reads and transaction broadcasts between your browser and Robinhood Chain, and which may see your IP address and wallet-related requests.
- Analytics providers, which help us understand aggregate usage of the interface.
7. 7. Data retention
We keep off-chain data for as long as it is needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Handles, profiles, comments and chat content are retained while relevant to the operation of the Service. Technical logs and analytics data are retained for shorter periods appropriate to their purpose and then deleted or aggregated.
On-chain data and content pinned to IPFS are outside our control and are retained indefinitely by the nature of those systems, as described in Section 4.
8. 8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under laws such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These may include the right to access the personal information we hold about you, the right to correct it, the right to request deletion, the right to object to or restrict certain processing, the right to data portability, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
We honor these rights for the off-chain data we control, such as your handle, profile data, comments and technical logs. We cannot delete or alter on-chain data or content pinned to public IPFS, because no one can; where deletion is requested, we will delete or de-link what is within our control and explain what is not.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@paydirt.app from a means that lets us reasonably verify your connection to the data in question, such as a message signed by the relevant wallet. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. 9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has used the Service or provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@paydirt.app and we will take appropriate steps to remove the off-chain information we control.
10. 10. International transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms, and we require our providers to protect personal information consistently with this policy.
11. 11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the off-chain information we control, including encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Remember that Paydirt never holds your funds or private keys. The security of your wallet, your seed phrase and the transactions you sign is entirely in your hands. We will never ask you for your private keys or seed phrase, and anyone who does is trying to rob you.
12. 12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on the Service and revise the effective date above, and we may provide additional notice through the interface for material changes. Your continued use of the Service after an updated policy takes effect means you accept it.
13. 13. Contact
Questions, concerns or requests about privacy can be sent to privacy@paydirt.app. We will do our best to respond promptly.
